Charles was one of the many children of Charles Freer and Rosina Jane Crawford (nee Low). Charles and Rosina were originally from England and Scotland, and settled in New Plymouth. This blog is to help all current relatives and descendants of Charles Stuart Crawford connect and communicate.

UPDATE ON GET-TOGETHER
Hi :)...Will be starting planning shortly. Look for the Get-together Registration Page in due course (I'll let you know when its available to complete) which will be where you can register your interest of attending the Family Get-together.
We have yet to design it, but envisaging it will include information on options in Rotorua where to stay including approximate costs, geographical info included maps, get-together venue info (will include costs for overheads only, such as catering, and any resources needed)
The more we get coming, the cheaper it will be.
So watch this space...
BLOG MEMBER UPDATE
All those we have email addresses for have been invited as members to the blog. This will enable you to post comments and edit your own comments. It will be great to see your thoughts and ideas come through, and of course any information that will help us connect better.
Follow the instructions in the invitation you get, e.g. create a google email address if you don't have one already and happy posting!
Cheers, Mandy xx

Welcome to this blog!
Hi everyone
I'm a descendant of Charles Stuart Crawford. Charles was born on 7 August, 1883 in New Plymouth and died in 1972 in Rotorua. Charles' wife's name was Sarah Pack Crawford (nee White) and she was born in Courtney, Canterbury on 10 July 1878 and died in Auckland on 15 November, 1967. My father, Archibald Charles Johnston Crawford, was their eldest son, 2nd born. Their other children were Zoe Freer Crawford (oldest child), Loi Selena Crawford (third eldest) and Allen Rex Crawford (youngest child).
Charles Stuart Crawford's father was Charles Freer Crawford and his wife's name was Rosina Jane Crawford (nee Low).
My brother and sisters and I met a couple of weeks ago to consider organising a family get-together to bring together those that are interested in knowing other family members and to discover our family history. We have tentatively set a date for September 2013 (actual dates yet to be confirmed) in Rotorua.
Other surnames that run through our family are Davis, White and Low and predominant areas that they all come from are New Plymouth and surrounding areas, Rotorua and Canterbury. If you find yourself reading this and have those names in your family from those areas, it is possible you are part of our extended family also. I invite you to leave a comment if you are interested in getting to know us and we can take it from there!
This blog is a work in progress. Feel free to pass along some information to be added, or leave a comment or two. Stories and photos are welcome! My email address is marsterscrawford@xtra.co.nz if you would like to get in touch with me directly.
Looking forward to meeting you all at some stage!
Lots of Crawford Family love
